Rolling your own cut and paste is acceptable in the marketplace #wp7dev

I'm sure you'll be thrilled to know that my Scratch Pad app is now available in the Marketplace. More important than creating a custom cut and paste implementation, this proves that it's possible to store data on the device and share it between applications.

In time, I'll explain how I did this. And, also, why you, probably shouldn't!

Until then please feel free to tweet about my app and be sure to use the hashcode #wp7comp or post your comments here.

  1. Oh go on... explain how you did it... or will the magic circle throw you out if you do :)

  2. P.S. How long did it take them to approve it? They turned around iron7 in a week - just an hour inside their 5 working days... but runsat has always been accepted and turned around in less then 24 hours.

  3. @Slodge I'm putting off explaining how as it'll take me ages to write and it uses a technique that I do not want to encourage as it has side effects which can't be avoided by the developer and could end up taking up lots of space on a device.

BTW. Approval took less than 1 working day (but there was a weekend in the middle of that time.)
